I made this business card holder from some donated leather scraps. The design was inspired by these.
I made a paper template and and traced them onto the leather using a pen. I cut the pieces with a rotary cutter. Scissors jut complicate leather cutting.
Contact cement bonded the strap to the interior of the of the front. The fold of the flap was achieved with some hand pressing and hammering with a heavy glass.
Using my kenmore and a leather needle the two haves were connected with contrasting thread.
