| Pattern Description:
Blazer jacket with collar variations, sleeve length variations and pocket variations.
Pattern Sizing:
Size 6-22. I made size 16.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
It did! Although I made my jacket with a ponte knit. The pattern is not intended for knits, but the ponte knit was stable enough to work out ok.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
I had no problems following them.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
It had almost everything I was looking for. I liked the cropped look of this blazer. It had pockets and was quite simple.
Fabric Used:
Black Ponte Knit from Fabric Mart
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I had to take in about 3/4" on the top of each princess seam to make the bust/underarm area a little less bunchy. Everything else was made like the pattern.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Definitely! It was easy and even good for beginners that are looking for a "little" challenge.
Conclusion:
I would recommend this pattern to anyone-- beginner to advanced. I used a poly faille print as the lining. It was fun to use an unusual lining! The pattern also works well with a double knit, so try it out!
