Thanks for the buttonhole info. I am very challenged in this department no matter how much I chant, bribe or burn candles to the gods of sewing. Check on the Fray Check. Thanks so much, Lori!

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. SavageCoco, I first did the top stitching, and then placed the buttonholes over the (middle row) of stitching. I did use Fray Check on the button holes before cutting to not only seal the button hole threads, but also the top stitching below. So far, so good, as I have worn the cardi many times and machine washed and dried it twice so far, with no problems.
