| Pattern Description: Knit wardrobe including cardigan, long sleeve top, short sleeve top, skirt & pants. I sewed View A- the cardigan.
Pattern Sizing: 10-22
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I liked that it was a very easy pattern. I disliked the way the band laid around my neck and the front of the cardigan (prior to modification). It is cut as just a rectange of fabric, so it stands up and away from the body instead of being contoured to the front/back pattern pieces.
Fabric Used: Polar Fleece
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
1) On all three versions, I added clear elastic to the band, so that it would contour and fit around my body/neck.
2) I removed 1" from both the front and the back pattern pieces, and 4" from the length, as the smallest size was a Misses' 10 which was much too large for me.
3) I lined the sleeves, to that it would be easier to get on and off.
4) On the Navy Blue version, I added Patch Pockets
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I have already sewn three versions and may do more. Would recommend it as a quick and easy cardi.
Navy Version Close-up Patch pockets & four rows of top stitching
Turquoise Version Topstitched Band, Sleeves & Hem with my Coverstitch machine
Print Version As the print is so busy, I did not top stitch or add any additional detail.
Lined Sleeve
I made the sash belt and thread carriers with all three versions, although I doubt that I'll ever wear any of them belted, so will probably remove the thread carriers.
I've drawn a contoured band pattern piece, but have not made a version using it yet.

These fit you beautifully and the lined sleeves will make them so easy to slip on :)

These are wonderful, and I especially love the version with all the topstitching.

Absolutely beautifully made. How did you do the buttonholes on the navy fleece?

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. SavageCoco, I first did the top stitching, and then placed the buttonholes over the (middle row) of stitching. I did use Fray Check on the button holes before cutting to not only seal the button hole threads, but also the top stitching below. So far, so good, as I have worn the cardi many times and machine washed and dried it twice so far, with no problems.

Thanks for the buttonhole info. I am very challenged in this department no matter how much I chant, bribe or burn candles to the gods of sewing. Check on the Fray Check. Thanks so much, Lori!
