This shirt review is part of a larger collection that features sportswear. I am so thrilled with how well it turned out that I look forward to trying some of the other pieces out.
Sizing: medium (36” bust ease)
Fabric: ribbed knit, heavy weight
Assembly time: 2 hrs
Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions are fine, but the pictures work just as well. The pattern has three pieces, so everything is self-explanatory. Basting is recommended for the hems, but I neglected this step as it would have consumed time for no great purpose--at least for this project.
Modification: The directions say to use a 1 1/4" hem for the waist. I prefer longer shirts and instead of lengthening the bodice, I reduced the hem to 5/8”. Doing this resulted in the perfect length.
Would you recommend it to others? yes
Would you sew it again? YES. Love the fit. It is probably my best fitting t-shirt. I will definitely make more of these shirts.
Renren said... Very nice color. I have this pattern, not sewn yet. I am going to get it in the line up for the pattern stash contest coming up! Sounds like a great tee. 2/19/13 1:56 PM
