Pattern Description:
A romantic, flowy trumpet skirt with lining and a side zip. Pattern Sizing:
8 - 18 I made the 12 based on my hip measurement. Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes it did. Were the instructions easy to follow?
I pattern tested this new design by Lena so I didn't have the instructions.
I have since read the instructions and they are easy to follow. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love how this style flows and you can wear it with confidence when there's a breeze.
This skirt does lift in the wind but only to just above the knee and it's also lined so I called this the 'no surprises' skirt. Fabric Used:
Polyester georgett and sunsilky lining. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I shortened the skirt so the hip line matched mine.
This version doesn't have the same amount of flounce as the pattern because I want to be able to wear this skirt to work without it looking like I'm heading going to a tea party.
After trying on the skirt, I've since lowered the front waist piece a bit to suit my shape. I do adjustment this to pants as well. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
This is a very easy skirt to make and look great in. I don't normally wear such a pretty skirt, but I'm really happy to have such a refreshing piece in my wardrobe. Conclusion:
I feel pretty wearing this skirt. There are better photos on my blog.
