Pattern Sizing:0-18 _ I made a mix of size 6-8-10 for mine
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Well I do think so, I made the view with a sweetheart neckline
Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions were easy, Colette has a knack for creating great instruction booklets
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the design. I love the fact that it can be made to be classic or fun. OH and let's not forget....I LOOOOOVE the pockets!
Fabric Used: Quilting cotton for the belt, left over fabric (poly-cotton blend) for the top and thick stretch corded cotton for the skirt
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Since my fabric for the top was quite thin compared to the bottom, I entirely doubled the bodice ( a first for me!) I made the skirt a size 10 with size 0 length (I'm 4'11'' tall) and the bodice....Started with a size 6 for shoulders/sleeves and graded it to size 10 to join the skirt. The darts were size 8.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I will make me a sleeveless version for this summer...in a super cute floral light jean cotton. I would recommend it to others but PLEASE make a muslin and take a good look at Gertie's Blog for better sewing. She has a super tutorial about this dress!!
Conclusion: I got asked where I had bought the dress so I guess I did not too bad of a job Really happy and comfy in the dress
