Pattern Description:
Unlined above-knee length tapered skirt with gathered waist at front. Back zipper and side pockets.
Pattern Sizing:
Sizing:36-44, I used size36. The skirt fits slightly looser than usual, in my case.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
I changed the front gather to tucks, and I think it influenced the shape a bit. However, I think it doesn't look that different from the sample photo in the end.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
I didn't read the instructions much, as it was a plain skirt with simple construction.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I liked the cute length and round shape of the skirt.
Fabric Used:
Linen, plain woven, thick, slightly heavy.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I applied lining and curved waist band to the skirt, changed the front gather to tucks, omitted side pockets, and moved the zipper from back to left side.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I am not planning the next one yet, but I would love to sew it again if I find a lovely fabric for it. I'd recommend it to others too, however I think I need to warn that the waist gather at front is pretty but not decreasing the volume of the area. It naturally has some volume and I think it's pretty because of it.
Conclusion:
I am loving this skirt, because it has lovely shape and color altogether.
