Pattern Description: This is a fully lined, hooded jacket with hidden hood zipper.
Pattern Sizing: This is available in sizes 0-16.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions are adequate but do not go into great detail. However, if you need a resource, there is a sew-along available here. Tasia goes into detail explaining each step.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? Who doesn't like this jacket? It's a classic, wearable style that has a great fit and shape.
The only thing I didn't like was the lack of outside pockets. There are inside pockets but I need a place to bury my hands in! I don't think it would be difficult to add side seam pockets next time around.
Fabric Used: I used a cotton sateen from Fabric.com. The lining is a silk blend from Joann Fabrics.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I lined the hood. Also- the pattern has you use an 18 inch zipper for the hidden hood. However, the drafted zipper opening is 19 inches, leaving a gap. So I had to resew the opening to be 18 inches long. So- either buy a longer zipper or sew the opening smaller.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I plan on making another in a basic color for dad to day wear. And yes, if there is anyone out there who hasn't made one yet besides me... I do recommend it.
Conclusion: Great jacket! It's so fun to wear in leopard!!
