| Pattern Description:
The designer bra you've been waiting for from Pin-up Girls! This stylish full band bra can be made with or without underwires and features a power bar for push-ahead support, as well as a split lower cup for extra room. It has been specially designed to use with Simplex and other low-stretch fabrics, which give the best support and a flattering profile. This pattern is available in 80 sizes. Be sure to pick the size range that suits your needs. Each pattern has 20 sizes included in the envelope! The patterns have both French and English instructions!
Pattern Sizing:
I made the 32G.
There are a huge range of sizes covered by this pattern.
Sizes 30-38 A-D
Sizes 30-38 E-H
Sizes 40-48 A-D
Sizes 40-48 E-H
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, exactly!
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, very. The instructions were well illustrated with excellent written instructions for each step of construction.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I really liked the 4 piece cup. It's attractive, very supportive and would allow for some fun fabric combos.
Fabric Used:
Simplex for cups and band front, lace for upper cups and band overlay, powernet for band.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I boldly stitched my size with no alterations and to my delight it fit extremely well. The only alteration I will make when using this pattern again is to move the front strap tabs in toward the center front. I'm very narrow shouldered and feel more comfortable with a more closely set strap.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Absolutely! I have the next one already cut out. Also, I would whole-heartedly recommend this pattern to others.
Conclusion:
Great pattern! Easily sewn and produces a really professional looking bra. This is a superb pattern for larger cup sizes. I made a G cup and when I wear this bra there is no bounce at all when I'm walking --- I consider that a bit of a miracle! Also, the seams are not showing through knit tops, though the lace is slightly visible under light colored clothing. |

Thanks ladies, it was so much fun to sew :D! The Fabric Depot kits are such a deal! $12 for the one I bought and I was able to cut 3 bras from it! Also, I was impressed with the very nice quality of the kit fabrics :D

It looks fantastic, does this bra pattern give you the lift you need? I really need help keeping the girls up with support and am narrow shouldered too. This looks like it might be a good first bra to try! Thanks.

I am encouraged to hear the final result was an excellent fit! And very pretty too. Very encouraging to me-I have a hard time to fit RTW. Thank you.

Clayqueen, how did you determine what size to buy? I am not sure if I need a D or E. I wish that it didn't split between these sizes for purchasing the pattern. You are also an advanced sewer, is it very hard? thanks for any help..... I tried to find a size chart for measurements for the pin-up girls bra and don't see any specifics. I know the cup sizes run different between Europe and US. Also in the description is mentions a power bar for push-ahead support, what is this?
