The model seems to be wearing a suede-like fabric which would have comparable body to what you used. Your change into eight gores sounds as if it should have worked. It was firm enough for me to use a denim needle. As for what I didn't like, well, if I wanted to look like I had a huge derriere, I'd wear it in a heartbeat! I'm a plus size so nothing is going to make me look slender, though IMHO this garment makes me look heftier than what I usually wear. I've many more patterns I can trial before I test this again in a fabric with a softer hand. A digital camera is on my wish list, so that I can post reviews with photos, rather than wait the months before I finish a film. 2/28/05 5:34 PM

It's the only long skirt style that seems to look okay on my short-rectangle shaped body. I reckon it'd be worth another try, on a drapier fabric. 2/19/10 1:46 AM
