After searching for the perfect pencil skirt pattern, I broke down and bought the Kate Spade Judy skirt. It was a perfect fit for me. Determined to duplicate this skirt, I bought Kenneth King's Clone Your Favorite Garment class here on the Pattern Review website.
The original skirt is a heavy textured wool with silk ribbons woven into the fabric. I chose a very similar fabric just not as heavy.
My new "Katie Spade" is identical in fit as the Kate Spade.
"Does it look like the pattern illustration? " YES!
"Pattern Sizing" any size you want!
"Were the instructions easy to follow?" The instructions for cloning the pattern were exceptionally easy and clear. After making the pattern I was on my own to put it together. Glad I chose something easy like a skirt!
" Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? " Yes and yes. The class is a must have in my opinion.
"Conclusion"........... We all a favorite garment and I can't wait to duplicate another piece from my closet!
