Pattern Description: Fitted dress with gathering along side front panels. Long sleeves click here
or sleeveless. I went with sleeveless this time.
Pattern Sizing:8-12
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Pretty much so except that I used two colors for this version.
Were the instructions easy to follow?Very easy, although as I always say, I do wish Vogue would acknowledge that most of us use sergers on our knits!
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?I love the style of this dress.
Fabric Used:cotton lycra knit from Spandex World
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:None. As I am not a fan of Wright's bias tape (stiff and uncomfortable), I used self fabric strips for the armholes and neckedge. I lowered the neck edge in the front 3/4", also.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? For now, two of these dresses will do. But I do highly recommend it if the style suits your body type.

I tried the Donna Karen cowl neck dress based on your recommendation and it is one of my favorites so I will give this one a try as well! Thanks so much for the inspiration! Lisa 2/23/13 8:00 PM
