This is my own pattern. I used a self drafted pencil skirt block, which I altered the darts in, and a basic bodice block I added a kimono sleeve to, and changed the neckline and the back opening to a V.
I started a new tradition on my blog, where I share my analysis of garment that inspire me and I cannot afford and discuss it'f features and construction. I did one post on the Green Jil Sander's dress, designed by Raf Simons. I was so inspired by my own post that decided to challenged my self and make an inspired dress within a week. I made this first version in Jade cotton, and there is one more in the works in green rayon. You are welcome to visit my blog for the inspiration post - http://thehomeblues.blogspot.co.il/2013/01/the-dress-inspector-jil-sander-emerald.html,

I made the pattern my self, it wasn't that difficult - kimono sleeves, and added some personal design features- like little detachable bows in place of the rhinestone brooches, just to play with the colors and my favorite 50's slanted darts for the the skirt. I also changed the back V opening to something a bit more elegant than in the original. Hope you'll like it! |
You did a great job on this and I really love your inspiration pieces! Check your private messages for more info - thx Terri

Terri, thank you for the comment and all the help with the site. I did add the links right and finally got that you are the one's adding the review pictures to the contest page.. That's why the site wanted me to add a review for my self drafted pattern.. Now everything makes sense! Next time hopefully I'll learn how to manupulate two images into one too:)
