Pattern Description:
I made the "A" dress which is a retro, classy and beautiful dress. It forms a princess seam with pleats and gathering. The bottom of the "tie" has small, detailed pleating. There are darts at the shoulder, elbows, and back. Pattern Sizing:
I got the 12-18 (?) sizing I believe and used a size 16. Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, it did. Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions were very easy to follow and were not misleading or confusing. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I spent so much time trying to get the pleats right and trying to pin and sew the front piece to it was torture. I spent nine hours one day trying to get it right. It was worth it in the end, but it was challenging. Fabric Used:
100% Silk Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I used a invisible zipper instead a lapped on because they are easiest and it compliments the dress far more. I also did not sew on buttons for the front, but I think I may when I go to state for my dress. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I possibly would sew this again with an easier fabric or try the "B" dress. Conclusion:
I worked really hard on this dress and it was so worth it. I love it and I want to live in the 1940s in this dress. For a competition through my school, FCCLA, I received Most Outstanding and a gold. This dress is so worth it in the end.

You nailed the styling with the shoes and hair.
