Pattern Description:
2 jackets & 2 shirts for small dogs. I made view C, the shirt.
Pattern Sizing: XS S M
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Reasonably easy, but the recommended work process was inefficient. I will do it differently next time.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I bought this for the shirt pattern. The jackets are standard, but it's hard to find other garments for dogs. The shirt is very cute, and works well with flannel for a mid-weight garment. I especially like that it has sleeves, as they help keep the shirt on the dog as well as providing extra warmth.
Fabric Used:
Cotton flannel left over from a pair of pajamas
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I will alter the fit through the shoulders before I make another one.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, I will be making more of these, but with alterations.
Conclusion:
Patterns for dogs almost always require alteration because there is such great variation in body types. I will make some adjustments to fit my dog, and will then probably continue making this shirt for the rest of his life. It's more complex to make than most pet items, requiring set-in sleeves and a set-on collar, but the small size goes together fairly quickly if you know how to do those things.

How cute! I've made a couple of things for my senior citizen dog - a polar fleece coat and a sleeveless "sweatshirt". I think the sweatshirt is more comfortable to her. she likes to sleep in it.
