One size, 33-34" bust, but I measured some shirts that fit me and it looked like it would work. I'm more like a 37-38" bust.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yup, super cute! Although Dixie is extra adorable in hers.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yeah, I've sewn enough knits at this point to be prepared to stretch bands as I sew them, etc. So I didn't really look at them much but they seem fine.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the nice simple shape that looks modern - it's like a sweatshirt but you haven't given up on life! Har!
Fabric Used:
Rayon blend double knit
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I made it a few inches longer but I may go back and take some of that length off and rehem it. I'm not sure it's hitting me in the best spot at my hips??
I cut the neck binding longer because it seemed too short in my first one of these - depending on how stable the knit is it might need extra length to keep it from puckering.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
This is my second...if I had any more double knits in my stash I'd probably already be on a third but I'm trying not to buy any more fabric until I work through some of my backlog of planned projects. And I definitely recommend it - the pattern is free so you can afford to buy some nice fabric!
Conclusion:
Awesome pattern! I can't believe how comfy and cozy it is - I feel like I'm wearing pjs.
More pics and some wardrobe mix-and-matching on my blog: a pair of buttons
I like the hemline on this, I think it's flattering. Cute sweatshirt!
