Pattern Sizing: RS (I sewed a size 22) and it fit great.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes! I was very happy with how accurate the photo was.
Were the instructions easy to follow? No - I found myself having to read and re-read the instructions. Photos weren't clear or helpful. I ripped more seams out of this dress than all projects I've ever done combined.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? It was very involved for a 'costume' This pattern is well made/detailed enough to be wearable as real clothes. This isn't something you throw together in one night for a party the next day.
Fabric Used: Cotton Broadcloth
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I ended up leaving off the sleeves and just going with the sleeve caps lined in my contrast fabric. I also made the pockets in my contract fabric - both very easy changes.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes! Only now that I'm familiar with the pattern I would feel better about doing it in a nicer fabric.
Conclusion: As I said before - even though this is labeled a 'costume' it's not something to be thrown together in a single night. This is a dress that you could make/wear and be proud of. Be prepared to spend many many (at least three) setting pleats! But it's worth it.

I am in the process of making this and following along with Professor Pincushions tutorial of all 3 pieces. Without them I think I too would have been as frustrated as you were, you did great! I may have given up without the videos I found! 5/18/13 10:21 AM
