Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Kind of. I only used one color
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, they were. Now I just need to start following instructions!
The owner of this pattern company recommends that people drape the fabric around them and decide the width of the bust based on the size they like. Since I'd made up a similar knit top in a very stretchy knit, I ignored the advice and just sewed up a size 2. This fabric had much less stretch. That explains why my svelte co-worker is modeling this rather than me.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love this layered look, it's unique. Here's the back view
Fabric Used: cotton knit. In my opinion, it was too heavy. Once I finished all the layers, it felt like it weighed a few pounds. next time I make this I will use thin rayon jersey. (and I will work a little harder to size it correctly)
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
This was really cute, and I want to make it in the correct size, but I also want to make it larger and longer so it's more like a tunic as well.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Already planning to, and yes!
Conclusion:
This is a great pattern. The layers came together nicely, and I'm very happy with it. (So is my co-worker!)
