Pattern Description:
Plus size dress sewing pattern available for download. Available in various sizes.
This dress is figure hugging in all the right places. It fits perfectly thanks to the neat set-in waistband and section seams.
Pattern Sizing:
44, 46, 48, 50, 52
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, except I was unsure about how to handle the pleat at the hemline.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I liked the multi-size lines and used it to adjust the pattern to my sizes. The only alteration I made was to pull in an additional inch at the sides.
Fabric Used:
Leopard print brocade from Joanns.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I like the pleat but when it is stitched down, there is not a lot of room for leg movement. There probably should be a split at the back.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes.
Conclusion:
I love it. More info on my blog: http://maidenjane.blogspot.com/2013/02/burda-style-section-dress-pattern.html

Wonderful dress! Just so you know, this is a pattern from the November 2012 issue of Burdastyle. You can tell by the pattern number: 11/2012#146 (here on PR it would be 11-2012-146).
