Pattern Description:
A close fitting jersey top with contrast shoulder inserts.
Pattern Sizing:
34-44, I cut a 34 to fit my DD
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes very like it.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
They were fine for Burda!
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
My DD wanted the shoulder inserts which have been seen on a lot of designs lately. It has facings and a centre back slit which fastens with a loop and button.
Fabric Used:
Maroon viscose jersey with faux leather for the inserts. I machine washed a test square of the faux leather first as DD would not want a simple top that had to be dry cleaned( and neither would I).
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I graded out to size 38 at the hip as DD has my shape!
I set the sleeves in flat instead of in the round as the instructions suggested but apart from that made no change.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I might make one using a contrast jersey for the insert. It's a nice variation on a theme.
Conclusion:
Dd was very pleased with it.
