Retro Butterick '55 Fitted Dress with belt
Pattern Sizing:
16-22
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Vaguely, as I made modifications to the bodice
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love the full skirted dress and the sleeves
Fabric Used:
Emerald green polyester taffeta and a red cotton blend plaid sash
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I omitted the collsr and made it into a v-neck I also lined it and sewed a petticoat made of red net and lace to the lining.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Certainly! I'd probably make this in a cotton twill or sateen the next time and have more of an everyday dress instead of a special occasion one
Conclusion:
I love my dress!
