Pattern Description:
Self drafted pattern for a "Trapper" hat, but with a Polar Bear theme. This is my "Eh Nanuq"(Hello Polar Bear) hat! Pattern Sizing:
I made it to fit my head, 22 inches. But, it can be altered to fit any size. Plus, I make them from Fleece and other stretchy fabrics. They fit more than the size they are made for. Were the instructions easy to follow?
This hat is very easy to make. I make several different styles, some with ears, some with front flaps etc. Fabric Used:
I used Faux Fur on the shell with a Fleece lining. Without the "animal" theme, I just use Fleece for both parts. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
My closet contains several of these hats in various styles. I wear them a lot as I hike or snowshoe in Washington state. They are very warm without making me overheated. Conclusion:
I love designing and creating new hats, I play with the shapes in PSP until I come up with something that strikes my fancy. It is a ton of fun! And, I love wearing them. I always get comments when I'm out.
