Pattern Description:
From the website:
Description – Princess seam hip length jacket. Bust ease is 1 ½ ”, hip ease is 1”.
Suggested Fabrics – Wool, rayon, velvet, raw silk, microfiber, linen, double knits, fleece, boucle and blends.
Pattern Sizing:
XXS to XXL Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes Were the instructions easy to follow?
Very clear instructions. Loes uses industry techniques for fast, easy construction with RTW results. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love the princess lines for their fit opportunities. The elegance of the shawl collar and overall style feel very Armani to me.
Fabric Used:
Linen from fabric.com
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I made my usual broad and square shoulder alteration. The pattern calls for a small 3/8" shoulder pad, but I was able to do without because of my build. In most cases, the shoulder pad will be necessary for the jacket to hang properly. I also lengthened the sleeve. I love either very long sleeves or having them rolled up. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?I've made another in black linen
This is an easy throw on jacket that instantly upgrades an outfit. If I needed a more formal jacket, this pattern would work beautifully as well. The jacket is unlined which in the linen was fine. In a wool or silk, I might line the sleeves, easy enough to do. <
Conclusion:
This is a fast and easy jacket and a perfect instant gratification project for any season depending on your fabric choice.

What an adorable little jacket! I have the pattern, and I can see that baby needs to be made up.

Elona... go for it. The pattern envelope shows the jacket in "fancy" fabric, but with a casual lifestyle, I've loved my version.

I love the concept of this pattern, and even more so when you mentioned the fast finishing with RTW techniques! I might have to try this myself :)

A perfect casual jacket - the linen really enhances the look, too. Very nice.

Very nice! I'm just finishing up her Ascot jacket, but now wish I had done this one instead -- really like the princess lines.

I loved the Ascot when it was first out, but I like the Paris sooo much more!
