Pattern Description: Fashion Star Caftan Maxi Dress
Pattern Sizing:XSM-SML-MED. I made a small.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, it does.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Very easy, it took me only a few hours to make.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the kimono sleeves, the low V-neckline, and how easy to make and versatile this pattern is.

Fabric Used: Supplex Jersey from Mill End Store in Portland, OR.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made an elastic waist instead of a tie. I also lengthened the skirt portion 5 inches as I am 5'9" tall and wanted a floor length maxi dress to wear with heels.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, even though this is my second time sewing this pattern, I can see making it again in a print, a nice cotton for the beach, there are so many options!
I highly recommed it.
Conclusion: I made this to knock off a Rachel Pally Caftan Maxi Dress in a modal/spandex jersey from Neiman Marcus sold for $233.00. I made mine for $25.00 in fabric and notions and in one evening after work-WOO HOO!
I wore it to a local fashion show in Portland and got to meet and pose with Michelle Lesniak Franklin, a contestant on Project Runway season 11. She loved my dress too!
