Pattern Description:
Skirt within two lengths and optional tie belt Pattern Sizing:
6-18 Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Well, yes, But, then again, so do a million other skirts. Were the instructions easy to follow?
Actually, I have no idea, since I just plugged away using noodlehead's sewalong. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Such a great basic. This was my first time using a pattern, or making people clothes! And this picture makes it hard to see and sort of sloppy, so clearly my photographing skills and styling skills need help too.
I had a beast of a time with the sizing - I like to wear my skirts low, and based on my measurements, I was a 10, but I am so petite that I thought that couldn't be right, so I cut out a 6. But, the 6 was way too big in the waist, so I then cut out a 10 waistband. Fabric Used:
A Kona cotton - which is navy. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I took out the belt loops. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, probably. Maybe try a wool and line it? Maybe I am too ambitious, ha. And yes. Conclusion:
A great little pattern.
Blogged about it here.
