Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
I made the option with the fitted skirt and it did look exactly like the envelope. There are also a few options to this dress including the belt and dickie which attaches to the dress if you wanted to include it. That way you can wear it with or without.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes the instructions were very easy to follow and I made sure I did.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I loved the fitted dress version. Its found it a flattering shape to my figure. It's a modern vintage pattern so the collar and front are perfect for this type of dress. I would love to be able to wear this to work so if I did make it again I think it would look amazing in a black linen and I would probably reduce the collar by 30% and also try and bring up the front so I didn't have to use the dickie and just had the front button up.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
No pattern alterations to this version.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes I would sew it again. Its really cute and stylish and perfect if you are looking for a modern vintage pattern. I also made this for my Mad Men Dress challenge so it fit the genre perfectly. I also really liked the longer length of this dress it suited the dress perfectly which you don't find in a lot of dress patterns.
