Pattern Description: From Kwik Sew: The Misses' Bras are designed for lace, tricot and power net.
The underwire bra has a back from power net, edges finished with elastic, and shoulder straps from tricot. The View A cups are made from lace and tricot, and the View B cups are made from tricot.
Pattern Sizing: I made a 32C. I made a 32C in KS 2101 and KS 1017, so I figured it would fit. This bra feels nearly identical to 2101 when worn.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like that the lace view on this bra uses lace that is slightly less wide than 2101. I also like that the seam is a little more slanted than 2101. I'm honestly not sure which I prefer, but I like to have options!
Fabric Used: Tricot and lace from Needle Nook Fabrics in Wichita. The lace was underlined with chiffon.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None...except on the next one, I do need to remember to move the back straps towards center back about 3/4" from the marking. On both this and KS 2101, I need to make this adjustment as the straps have a tendency to slip off my shoulders if I put them where marked.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Absolutely and absolutely.
Conclusion: This is a great bra pattern. If you want to see more construction details - see my review for KS 2101. I used similar techniques on both bras.
