Pattern Description:
T-shirts Pattern Sizing:
Pattern is sized xsm-sml-med. I wear a size 4 ready made and usually a pattern 10-12. I made the small, with modifications. Might try the xsm--it's a loose fit pattern Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions were easy. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I loved the layout of the striped top on the pattern envelope so I bought striped fabric to duplicate. There are only a few pieces, no facings! Fabric Used:
polyester / cotton knit Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Well, where to start! I did not look at the photo on the pattern envelope of the BACK of my top and I did not notice that view D, which I made, had an open back! So I added 1~1/2" fabric straps across the opening to close it up a little. I used the same fabric, cut on the crosswise grain, and interfaced for a little stability. I am too old to be baring my back in the daytime like that! I increased the shoulder seam allowance to 1" to raise the neck edge. This pattern has a WIDE neck! Without the straps added to the back it fell off of my shoulders. There are 4 seams to this shirt so plenty of room to play with. I used a little more than 5/8" on all of them. I used a very small zigzag stich for all the seams to accommodate the stretchy material, Length 1.5 and width .5 on my machine. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I will sew it again. Next time I will match up my stripes a little better, raise the back a little. Maybe do a lace insert in the back. Because the top fell off my shoulders without my modifications I'm not sure I can recommend it. The side side seam options are great though. Conclusion:

I love it. I have this pattern and you have inspired me to use it. Love your fabric and I love how you 'fixed' the back. Adds interest! Nice job.

How cute! I love the back straps, and your tee is really cute and wearable now. I have used this pattern for View C (the back skirt view) and it runs super large. Fun top in your stripes.
