Pattern Description: No button, No fastener. Light linen. Useful jacket, Spring through autumn. Back tie accent. Free arrangement, Tie up or leave to hang............ping! Honestly, that's what it says! That makes me smile....or ping.
Pattern Sizing:6 - 16
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions were brief, but accompanied by clear, easy to follow drawings. An absolute beginner might find them daunting, but for me, they were fine. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the fact that while this is a loose fitting garment, the amount of ease that is included is just right.
The drafting is excellent. Everything came together perfectly.
Not a dislike, but a point to note, the inside of the garment is on display to form the collar. You need to be careful and neat!
Fabric Used: Linen. The fabric suggestion is either linen or hemp. It suits the casual style of jacket perfectly.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Normal lengthening, and I lengthened and added about 5 cm to the width of the sleeve at the hem, to make the jacket sleeve bell shaped.
I did a Hong Kong finish on the seam allowances, as this is an unlined jacket. It was my first attempt at a HK finish - time consuming, but totally worth it in this case.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I might sew it again, it would depend on how useful I find this jacket. Coming into autumn here, so I should know soon. If I do sew it again, I will use a contrasting topstitch thread. The thread I used matched the fabric rather too well, and I missed the opportunity for a nice touch.
Conclusion: A nice casual jacket, easy to sew. With minimal fitting, and no buttons or linings to worry about, this is a perfect project for a beginner. Recommended.

Lovely jacket! Like everyone else, I wish I had the pattern. I enjoyed your blog too, it's nice to read about familiar places and fabric shops instead of them being on the other side of the world.
