Pattern Description:
Stuffed donut toy with arms, legs, icing, sprinkles, eyes and a top hat.
Pattern Sizing:
You can make it whatever size you like, I made mine about a foot across.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yep! I'm pleasantly surprised how close I was able to get. I started with the drawing and used it to design the toy.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Since I made them up as I went, I can't speak for others. I've written them out on my blog so you can make your own. Instructions here
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
The trickiest part is getting the centre tube sewn in. It takes a bit of fiddling to get it in right and then hand sew the back together.
Fabric Used:
Felt for the hat and arms and legs. A mystery, slightly stretch brushed knit of some sort, and a shiny, slightly textured plastic based pink material for the icing. Bugle beads make the sprinkles and fabric covered buttons for the eyes.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
N/A
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
YES!
Conclusion:
The best part is that you can stick your hand through the hole and make a "mouth" and talk with it! Maybe I'm just weird.... |
