Pattern Description: Child's dress with flared skirt and side zipper can be made with asymmetrical bodice, square neck bodice with optional cap sleeves and assorted trims & designer embellishments.

Pattern Sizing:I made the size 6.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? I changed the design a bit but pretty much like the picture on the envelope except the skirt is not as full as pictured.

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I didn't like the side zipper for the square neck style. Also I would prefer using a lining rather than all of the bias tape but I made with the bias tape this time. The fabric and trim requirements were hard to follow. I ended up buying too little ribbon because I guess the ribbon for the neck and skirt were listed separately? It didn't come out right either way. Since I am an hour from a fabric store, I had to improvise and use a second color of ribbon

Fabric Used: Cotton pique for the bodice and cotton broadcloth for the skirt.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I put the zipper in the back. It would have to be in the side for the asymmetrical style but since I wasn't making that style, I thought a back zipper would be more comfortable for a little girl.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I really like the bodice but prefer a fuller skirt. I might make it combining the bodice with a gathered skirt in the future.

Conclusion: The skirt was longer than I expected. It is mid calf length which seems a strange length for a little girl. If i make it again, I will short it to knee length. I like the various options for the bodice.
