Pattern Description: Burda Blouse from the BurdaStlyle Sewing Handbook
Pattern Sizing:Burda Patterns seem to fit too big, had to go down 2 sizes from what should be my size according to their sizing charts.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes, but since I'm a Novice sewer not perfectly..;)
Were the instructions easy to follow?Instructions were super easy to follow
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I loved the details of this shirt, the ribbon along the front and back. I didn't like how advanced this was for a sewing book that was suppose to teach you sewing.
Fabric Used:Cotton/Rayon blend with Black Sheer Ribbon
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Again, original fit was too big, I also had to enlarge the sleeves.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?Yes, I definately plan to sew this again once I have a bit more experience.
Conclusion: I love how flowy this blouse is and it's super comfortable. If you are an intermediate sewer, you will love this challenge.

Ashford said... You did a nice job on this blouse. I have the book and have not tried it yet. I also worried this version may be too advanced for my skill level. On the size, did you select based on your full bust or the chest measurement taken under the arms and above the full part of the bust line? 3/12/13 9:55 PM
