Pattern Description:
Often sewn and much reviewed wrap dress.
Pattern Sizing:
EE (16-22) I cut a 16 on the top and 18 on the bottom.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
I must admit to not paying much attention to them. It came together nicely!
Fabric Used:
Swiss 4-way stretch from gorgeousfabrics.com in the year-end sale.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I added 2 inches to the top, and should have added my usual 3 inches.
Added 3 inches to the bottom (as usual).
For anything with ties I cut the longest tie in the pattern sleeve. So in this case, the size 22 wrap.
Took ease out of the sleeve caps.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes and yes! If I can find a print that I like then I would consider sewing it in a print...silk jersey would obviously be nice. But I also have been thinking that a plain Kelly green might be called for...if I do make another one I might de-flare the skirt. There have been several other reviewers who have done this; I think it looks nice both ways.
Conclusion:
Great wrap dress.
The facings on mine did flip out before I tacked it down at the shoulders (several reviewers have mentioned this problem persisting even after they tacked it at the shoulders, as well as ways they got around it).
