Loose, sleeveless top. Has bias scarf attached at neckline with tie ends at back.
Sizes 36 to 44. I made my usual 40 and it fits just fine.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The top is so easy that I didn't bother following the instructions. In any case, this pattern has the detailed instructions with lots of diagrams, so it should be fine even for a beginner sewist.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I loved the back scarf detail, so chic!
I used a polyester georgette with a satin stripe.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
The only thing I changed was making the scarf ties longer. That is my preference with scarves but I have to say in this case it was probably a mistake. The extra length makes the ties heavy and they tend to pull out the facing. I had to stitch the facing in place to keep it from flipping out.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes. It is a very simple yet chic top. I made mine with french seams and bias binding at the armholes and even then it was very quick to make.
A chic top from a very easy pattern, well worth an afternoon!
