Pattern Description: Lined, soft and roomy backback has a drawstring threaded through the bottom corners and top edges
Pattern Sizing: One size
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Exactly
Were the instructions easy to follow?Yes, in one case, I asked Trudy a question on Facebook (she replied via e-mail) and I was on my way. I sew at night and sometimes I'm tired and can't comprehend well ;)
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? It is very roomy!
Fabric Used: Mint green pleather for the outside, cotton print woven for the inside. Black leather with grommet 'ribbon' for the cord. Athough I think this is a signature look for this bag, it's hard to thread through the top and the loops because it's leather and it's thicker than the recommended cord, so I may have to redo the straps into something more cord-like.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, and yes. I am going to make this in a linen for summer, and this will make some excellent gifts for girlfriends!
Conclusion: I am using this bag on vacation, and it's roomy enough to put my wallet, all my usual stuff like lipstick, hand lotion, sunblock, a maxi wrap dress for over my swimsuit, a full 9x12 spiral notebook for art/journaling, my phone and still be barely full. I think I might have even had a cardigan sweater and pashmina tucked in there the other day and never noticed! It is roomy without being gigantic. I am riding my bicycle a few miles to the beach every day with this bag.
