Pattern Description: Basic Short Sleeve V-Neck Top
Pattern Sizing: XS-XL...I made size small.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? I used the Master pattern Book called Easy Sewing The Kwik Sew Way...they have a few pictures of finished garments, but not for the short sleeve v-neck top I made. The maxi skirt I'm wearing with the top is made from the same fabric, it is copied from a RTW skirt I own.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Very easy...I love Kwik Sew instructions for that very reason!
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? Well, I'm very short...and the short sleeves actually come to my elbows...I guess I should have measured...lol. I also found the width of the sleeve quite generous...not sure how to fix that!
Fabric Used: Poly-knit.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I didn't alter the pattern...but I'll shorten the sleeves next time.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I will make this easy top again...there are several options for necklines and sleeve length...I don't mind the rather boxy fit.
Conclusion: The pictures in this master pattern are very dated...but I'm happy I bought it beacuse it has some good basic patterns.Patterns include...knit tops, blouses, skirts, pants & shorts.

I recently bought this book and enjoyed your review. Loved seeing this version -will have to try it and will take the advice to shorten the sleeves so thanks.

Yay! I had this book for years before trying any of the pieces, and yes, the photos are kind of timeless (and by that I mean "dated"), but they are very basic garments and you have lots of options. I thought the pieces I made were a bit boxy as you did, but still very very wearable. And great learning projects. I like your shirt very much, you look great -- sleeve length is quite nice actually, you can easily change that next time around.
