| Pattern Description:
Misses' pullover dress, top or tunic, has front band with straps or yokes, is long-sleeved or sleeveless with optional sash.
I made dress D and sash of tunic C. The dress has shoulder straps, front and back bands.
Pattern Sizing:
A (6-16)
I cut size 12 and flared slightly the dress below the hips.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, with contrasting straps, front/back bands, hem band and sash.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the self-lined and interfaced front/back bands.
I like the wide shoulder straps and the front gathers.
Fabric Used:
Two Way Stretch Knit.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I sewed the shoulder straps in size 12, the bodice sides in size 8, the rest of the pattern in 10.
I graded out to 14, from hips to hemline, for a more A-line.
I lengthened the dress by 2 3/4" by adding a hem band made in a contrast fabric.
The straps, the front/back bands and the sash were also sewn in this same fabric.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, I might sew this pattern again and I would recommend it to others. It was easy to alter and fast to sew. I have already made dress A, the version with yoke back and yoke front. It will be the subject of my next review.
Conclusion:
Very nice dress, very simple to make and very easy to wear. I love it!
