Pattern Description:
Semi-fitted, lined, below mid-knee length dresses A, B have waistline seam, left shoulder yoke, right shoulder pleats, back bodice with darts, slightly flared, side zipper closing and shoulder pads. A: button trim and long sleeves with hook and eye closing.

14-22

Pretty much, although I modified a couple of features

Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love the neckline and the vintage appeal
Fabric Used:
Anna Sui Rayon/Cotton Challis and lined with batiste
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I made the short-sleeved version and puffed the sleeves a little, plus I added buttons and made a faux bodice closure and put them horizontal rather than vertical as the pattern suggests. I also added a belt with a buckle rather than a tie belt.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Most definitely! Not for beginners though.
Conclusion:
I absolutely love my dress and it's so comfortable! I would suggest either using a solid color or perhaps using a print and a solid as you cannot really see the design features with a busy print such as I chose. |
