Pattern Description: Dress, Pinafore Dress or Top with neckline variations. Patch pockets with exposed zips.
Pattern Sizing: 4-12. 30-38. I sewed a 12
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes. I made view B with stand up neckline and 3/4 sleeves
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes They were quite straightforward
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I liked the young looking style, the stand up neckline and the idea of the exposed zips on the patch pockets. It is quite a roomy dress and easy to wear. It should be noted however that as the sleeves are cut as an extension of the dress they are quite wide underarm, It is not a particularly easy dress to wear underneath a coat. But then why wear it under a coat! Close up of neckline
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None. I used ordinary dress type zips. Heavier ones would have had a more dramatic effect. Hadn't thought about leaving out the back zip until I read a previous review
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others I might go for the pinafore version in tweed to wear over a sweater when its cold. Could also see myself making the short top too. I would recommend it as an easy comfortable dress even though it is a bit "boxy"
Conclusion: An easy pattern, worth making if you like the style. Can be worn as a dress or top with leggings.
Cute dress! I love the 60s style. I also like the picture on the wall to your left.
