Pattern Description:
This is a cute pull-on kids' pants pattern that works great with cotton, twill or corduroy.
From the pattern company: "Pull-on pants have front patch pockets, button-through back patch pockets, elasticized back waistband, and drawstring at front waistband."
Pattern Sizing:
I made this pattern is sizes 18m, 3T, 5 and 6. The 5 and 6 were a little large, the 18m very slightly small.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions were great and easy to follow.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I made this four times in different sizes for all my kids. My kids really like these because they are comfortable. There are so few fashionable patterns for boys, so I was very happy to find this one. I also like the top stitching detail.
Fabric Used:
I used a soft chocolate brown baby corduroy for the pants and lined the pockets with quilting cotton.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I made a couple of small changes to the pattern. I left off the buttons on the back pockets. I also made the waistband out of corduroy (the pattern calls for coordinating quilting cotton). I had tried this pattern once before with a super heavy twill, and the cotton was just too flimsy for the pants fabric. Even though the baby corduroy is much lighter weight that the twill, I think the pants work better with a slightly heavier fabric in the waistband. I still used quilting cotton for the pocket linings though. I also switched the drawstring waist for a flat front pant with wider elastic in the back. I think it looks a bit nicer that way with the corduroy.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I will almost certainly make this again, probably as shorts for summer in cotton.
Conclusion:
A good pattern.

Great job! I've been wondering about these pants in a heavier fabric for a while now.
