Pattern Description: Misses Knit jacket, tops and pants. I only made the top as a rashguard.
Pattern Sizing: I made size 12. It's one size smaller than my usual but as a rashguard with swimwear fabric I wanted it to be tighter than regular clothes.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Somewhat.
Were the instructions easy to follow? I looked at it once and forgot about it. The pattern pieces spoke for themselves.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I wanted to make a rashguard with a pattern from my current pattern stash. This one looked like it would look good as a rashguard.
The trouble I had was that I wasn't able to get the neckline to lie flat. I don't know if it's because of my fabric choice. I dismantled the neckline, cut off 5cm from it and resewed it to my top but the neckline still wouldn't stay flat. I suspect that I probably need to draft a new curved neckline myself for this to stay flat with this kind of fabric.
I think if I were to make this with a regular knit the neckline would be fine.
Fabric Used: Red and Black Swimwear nylon with 20% spandex. Both remnants from my stash.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I shortened the sleeves, made my usual short waist adjustment, added 3cm to the bottom hem and cut off 5cm from the length of the neckline. I think I would have liked it more if I had added more length to the bottom hem.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? It's a very easy and fast to sew top. I would recommend it for regular knit, not for swimwear knit. I would probably sew it again in a regular knit too.
Conclusion: Easy and fast to sew top. My neckline problems are probably due to my unusual fabric choice

This turned out perfect as a rashguard! You sized it just right, and it looks great on you.

Thanks Annette! The neckline refuses to lie flat but I'm going to wear it anyways. When it's wet it will be clingy and out of shape so I hope no one will notice the neckline! :-)
