Yes I know I should have a photo, but it is just not possible right now. I do want to file a review on this pattern just for those who would be thinking of re visiting some Burda past issues.
I actually made a tunic instead of a dress with this. I am not normally a plus size but after a mock-up I realized for a slightly sweatery fit I would have to go up from my usual 42 to a 46! This is a fitted cut so beware.
I loved the unusual styling and was looking for something to use a firm ponte from Theory. The neckline is ample to use as a pullover even after darting the collar top edge for a closer drape. The sleeves are unusual and bulbous, but not unattractive. The front darts are perfection and the vertical lines of the skirt are flattering.
As a tunic this has a futuristic feel in the silvery gray ponte. I can see a hint of 60's dentist smock but hopefully no one else will!
The construction is simple, with the hardest part being the curved seams across the front and back.
This is a well designed pattern that could flatter many body types, but beware the sizing and I would suggest a stable knit.
