Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Absolutely. I'm really impressed with this pattern company. I had never constructed a placket before but it was very easy. Just take the time to make all the markings precisely.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I really adore that this is a classic shirtmaker dress - but in mini for kids. It's completely 'appropriate' but not old-fashioned and fuddy-duddy.
I love the fact it's got a collar and sleeves - nice for sun protection. I also love the little pockets and the attention to detail with the sleeves - cuffs and a tab. Very cute!
I downloaded the PDF and was very impressed with how it tiled together so neatly.
Fabric Used:Cotton lawn.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Instead of buttons I used press studs on the placket. I added cuttons on the sleeve cuffs and also as a feature on the contrasting pocket cuffs.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes. I loved making this and it's completely adorable and practical.
Conclusion: A perfect little girls' dress pattern. 10 out of 10.
