I made the medium size knickers with the high leg option.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Ummm, no. Design modifications were due because of my rather unwise fabric choice.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Nice, clear instructions - as always from Kwiksew. Great for beginners.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Fabric Used:
My madly dotty leftover silk cotton blend. With stretch lace side panels.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
For some insane reason I thought this pattern was big enough to get away with a non stretch fabric (it recommended stretch knits). Suffice to say, the first time I tried them on I couldn't get them past my hips!
Fortunately with the added side panels (now a design feature) I can just squeeze them on. I already have a pair of self made stretch silk knickers which are very comfy. I aim to continue adding fun creations, as my usual shop bought knickers are always black and rather dull.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes I would, but in a more sensible fabric (stretch) choice! I liked the fact I didnt have to make any other modifications to the fit.
Conclusion:
A rather dotty project (in both senses of the word) but they make me smile looking at them.
