Pattern Description:
This is a pattern for thong-style underwear with lace over the hips and triangular seaming front and back with contrast body and separate, lined crotch piece. Waist and leg edges are elasitcized.
Pattern Sizing:
S-XL
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Very well written, straightforward and clear with excellent illustrations.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Adorable thong pattern that incorporates lace. I like the fact that the crotch lining is a whole, seamed piece and not a partial piece that isn't tacked down. Melissa uses the burrito method on the crotch seams so they are all enclosed. It's quick and easy to make up, takes minimal fabric and it was free!
Fabric Used:
Bamboo cotton knit for the panty part. The lace is stretch lace left from the bra I just reviewed.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
None needed. I will go down a size on the next ones, though.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, although I am going to wear them tomorrow and make sure they are comfy all day. I see a drawer full of these cuties.
Conclusion:
Super cute thong pattern from Melissa Fehr. It's a really cute design and something a little different than the plain Felina's I usually buy. Try it!
