I just sent the long johns to my DDIL in MN and she reported that they fit well and are very comfortable. I made them out of a gridded Powerstretch from Fabricline. I think the stretch was 75% and the fit was snug but good. I used the pattern measurements. I think the seam placement is really well designed. I'm curious about what kind of seam finish you used. I used a flatlock for smoothness, but I'm wondering whether that's necessary. BTW, your and your girls certainly are good models. 2/28/05 7:21 AM

I wish I could do a decent flatlock with my serger but I just used a 4 stitch overlock and coverstitched the hems. Further stitching with a narrow zig-zag made the seams ripple (ask me how I know).
