Nice coat! I picked up this Burda pattern 2 years ago and finally chose fabric for it and now have a question. I purchased quilting cotton, for a light spring coat. However, now that I am laying it to cut out, I am worried the coat will be too light. I am wondering if I should interline it and if so, what I could use to interline it and if this pattern lends itself to interlining due to the dropped sleeve. Possible ideas for interlining which I own are cotton 'warm and natural' quilting interlining or just plain cotton broadcloth. Was the fabric you used light? It looks good. If you can lend your experienced opinion, that would be great, thanks!

I've never interlined anything, so I can't speak to that. I think that's really a personal preference. I wanted a light coat, so the material is more like a light-weight suiting (polyester) fabric. I think what you described sounds great. I believe the coat is lined, so that may be enough. Good luck!
