|Pattern Description: Misses Tunic|
Pattern Sizing:Lrg to XXL
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?I love the finished look of the garment. I did not like the generous fit of my first attempt. I am not too skilled at judging these things and tend to go by what the envelope states as correct sizing. In this case, it was not good.
Fabric Used:Rayon Cotton blend
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:I made view C in the shorter length of View B, and eliminated the side pockets
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?Yes
Conclusion: The pattern states that it is loose fitting and I wanted a caftan style of flowing top, but I was not prepared for the generosity of fit. My first attempt was size XL and it was so huge.
My second attempt, pictured here, was just about the look I wanted. Otherwise, do the top in a size smaller than the measurements on the package suggest. The fabric I chose, while lovely to look at, wanted to ravel at the seams. I had to use fray check in some areas, especially at the v neck.
The v neck is very deep and I do use a cami under this top because of it.
Overall the fit and look is great. The top was a great medium for my bead embroidery!
