|Pattern Description: This is a pattern, knits only, for racerback tank tops or raglan-sleeved tops. I made the racerback tank, shorter length. My version has neck band and arm hole bands. |
Pattern Sizing: Std multisized. I used size AA based on my bust measurement and the fit was perfect.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? The fit of this is great. Very easy to sew. Looks RTW, sporty. This is only the third Jalie pattern that I have used and I really like the full range of sizes (child through adult), the instructions and the modern fit. More pricey though, no sales.
Fabric Used: Leftover cotton lycra knit in white.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: added a 2 inch length for long torso. Did the seams entirely on the serger, except that I used a twin needle on the sewing machine to topstitch the bands and to hem. This took 2 hours to sew, very gratifying.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Absolutely, want to make the raglan sleeve version soon for summer. This should be a strong contender for Best of 2013. I cutting the fabric to make the raglan tee tomorrow.
Conclusion: A great fitting set of tops-racerblack tanks or raglan sleeved tee shirts.
