|Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?|
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes. The cross front top is a little difficult to visualize as you sew, but just follow the instructions and you'll be fine.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Because it's a tie-wrap dress, you can make it look like it fits perfectly even if you fudged a bit on the sewing. This is also one of the few recent knit dress patterns out there that doesn't have a neckline so deep you have to wear a cami.
Poly knit for first dress - loved it! Thicker knit for second dress - that didn't really look so great. I would recommend a thin knit fabric. The wrap can add bulk, and if you use a bulkier fabric, you end up looking a size or two larger.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I thought the tie/belt was just obscenely long. I shortened it, and even then thought it was still too long.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, I sewed it twice and I would recommend it. To make it look different, I made one dress with a contrasting front wrap panel. That looks really nice, especially against a really "busy" knit fabric. The wrap panel is one pattern piece, so it was easy to use a different fabric.
You probably can't make six of these, and I don't think it would look great with a blazer because the tie wrap lands right on your hip bone. But it's a great summer dress and very figure flattering.
